Starting as a Working Student

If you are studying computer science or a similar subject and are interested in software testing, test processes, and quality assurance – you might be a good fit for us.

As a working student, you will be fully integrated into our workflows. You’ll learn to think strategically, give presentations, manage projects, and develop soft skills such as collaborating with colleagues, handling stress, and accepting constructive criticism.

The working student status allows you to keep more of your earnings because you don’t have to pay health, nursing care, or unemployment insurance contributions.


TWO REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET FOR YOU TO BE REGISTERED AS A WORKING STUDENT AND BENEFIT FROM THE WORKING STUDENT PRIVILEGE:
  • Enrollment in a full-time degree program (not on a leave of absence).
  • You may work a maximum of 20 hours per week (more is possible during semester breaks).

Your area of responsibility as a Working student in quality assurance

  • You support the quality assurance of our applications in the M2M / IoT environment. - Error analysis and reporting - Creation and maintenance of test plans and test cases - Execution of manual tests and documentation
  • Depending on the project requirements and your personal interests, you will familiarize yourself with and contribute to the creation of automated tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Cypress, or Jest.
  • You work with tools like GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, and Dependency Track.
  • You support our customers in ongoing projects in the area of testing and quality assurance.
  • You participate in training sessions and continue to learn independently.

Your profile

  • You already have basic knowledge in software development and/or QA testing.
  • You have a good understanding of quality assurance processes or want to develop further in this area.
  • You are curious and enthusiastic about new technologies.
  • You have a good eye for detail and work in a structured way.
  • Your friends describe you as a nerd — and you’re fine with that.
  • You enjoy finding bugs and optimizing processes.
  • You are reliable and work conscientiously.
  • You enjoy working in a team.
  • For you, shared knowledge is doubled knowledge.
